Los Depressos
Los Depressos are depressed. The both suffer from Bi-Polar depression, so not every day is a happy day...but, that said these guys do come up with some insane shit. REally hot beats and playing...El Adobro and El Depresso, the founders are like a convolution of the Beatles, Public enemy, and Liberace. Must be heard to be seen. Maya Solovey
Many have said of Maya Solovey's music that it is "soporific", meaning helps one sleep, however on closer inspection one finds a deep love of music from all over the world, some grooves as hard as any rapper, and at last count at least three languages, English , Portuguese, and Spanish. Her lyrics , chord structures and magnificent voice all all a thing to behold and admire. Beautiful songs, angelic harmonies, and that specialy tunes 7 string Brazilian guitar make Maya Solovey an artist to watch in 2009.

The sexual freedom riders are the brainchild of singer/songwriter Jake James, formerly of
Jake James and the Sexual Freedom Riders. " I had to quit the last band because they kicked me out, " says James, "So now I'm in this band." Fellow band member jon Vergara quips, "Yeah he was an asshole, I'm glad they kicked him out", says Vergara. Producer BASS STAR D says', "I don't give a fuck but I don't want to type 100 letters to go on their MySpace. The band is considering changing the name again after their first hit to SFR, or maybe just S. Stay tuned...
